At the start of the new year, I posted on my Facebook status the word Authentic and it’s dictionary definition. For whatever reason, that word AUTHENTIC was standing out to me. This week, I heard a great speaker talk about the value of discovering yourself and being committed to who you were designed to be. He spoke about specifically about being AUTHENTIC. Last night, on Oprah’s Season 25, she spoke about Jon Stewart and what makes him so undeniable and compelling to people, his how AUTHENTIC he is…He is authentically his own person, so is Oprah, so are so many others. It is the key to being FREE, FULFILLED, and having a PURPOSE DRIVEN LIFE.
With our kids, with each other, with our models, we are 100% committed to helping each and every one of us VALUE who we are, what makes us uniquely valuable, learning to not compare to others, and embracing who we are as INDIVIDUALS. Isn’t that the way it should be?
One thing I am very thankful for, is that I have always, for whatever reason, been committed to finding my way and remaining true to the dreams in my heart, and challenging others to do the same. I urge you, that if you feel uncertain about who you are and what you want to do with your life….TODAY begin the journey of DISCOVERING YOURSELF. Begin each day with a prayer asking for guidance and direction, and in time, I promise the answers will come. In the meantime, keep moving forward, remain in action mode, and live an intentional life. BECOME AUTHENTIC.
