In 2005 we had the honor of producing a fashion show locally, along side a community of great people, in support of one of our models Michael Hope, whose father had been diagnosed with cancer. One of the most inspiring families we have ever worked with, the benefit for Threads For Hope, was able to help their family in a very difficult time. It was a life changing event we will never forget.

To coincide with the benefit, we held a model search and chose 15 aspiring models to participate in the benefit fashion show. The search was held at a local mall, and a beautiful young girl stood out to us from the first time we laid eyes on her.

Karlie Kloss, a 13 year old, 5’6″ girl, had a unique look and a distinct walk, even at a very young age. When we chose her as one of the finalists, I remember clearly that we both said “Let’s not change anything about that walk” It was uniquely her own. The next step was to wait and see how much she would grow and how tall she would become.

About a year and half later, we were meeting her at the mall and she had sprouted up (seemingly overnight), looking incredible, and we knew it was time to get this rolling…and we have experienced the most wonderful journey with her and her family ever since.
